Will SVI be the next Silent WitnessCCNews Special: Honeywell Expands Its Security Business By Acquiring Supplier A Foreshadow for Strategic Vista International Inc.[TSX: SVI]??? Honeywell International Inc. recently announced its acquistion of Silent Witness Enterprises Ltd.[NASDAQ: SILW], a leading provider of video surveillence technology with approximate sales of CAD$56 million based in British Columbia. The acquisition rounds out Honeywell's product offerings and capabilities for different market segments, like the banking and transportation sectors, in the fast growing video surveillence market. Silent Witness shareholders will receive a premium as Honeywell has offered $11.27 per share. Stategic Vista's Digimerge subsidiary recently signed a vendor agreement with Honeywell's ADI -- North America's largest wholesale distributor of security and low voltage products -- to supply digital video surveillence products. Will SVI be the next "Silent Witness"... ***************************************************************** Above from an email I got from Current Capital.
