RE: Wonder if Tag lookingNo chance, Brigham doesn't have the needed cash. IMO, Tag will fund the first horizontal themselves, using HAL (or Schlumberger), to prove up the shale oil/NGL concept. While Bakken horizontals are now getting out to 9000 ft. laterals, the cost is about $8-$10 million per well, so it seems likely that Tag would start with a lateral in the 1000-2000 ft. range, to keep costs down. Of course, they'll likely drill two or three relatively cheap vertical wells, before they try a horizontal. Only after some success would they partner, and good candidates I can think of are EOG, NFX, maybe COP.
