RE: RE: RE: big news outFirstly, I'd like to apologize for my outburst earlier; my Irish nature got the best of me when my eyes popped out of
my head to OB's response........my bad.
It appears that we have the beginnings here of what could very well be another Carlin style discovery and with the properties that are already staked within GSR's portfolio, there may very well be several more to come. The Big One is one of the largest areas with no immediate neighbors so Atac's first pass exploration results are really the best and only ones to begin to do a comparison with at this point. These results were excellent and though released on a poor bad in the markets, once investors return home from work tonite and see the releases, I have little doubt that the sp will begin to reflect the potential here.
The fact that they assayed a sample containing this high of grade gold is the most impressive and relevant portion of the release but there are numerous other factors which add to its significance ........
1) Those sulphides the release speaks of containing pyrite, arsenopyrite, etc are all sulphides that are known to be pathfinders to gold and are prevalent in the Nevada Carlin style deposits.
What I have come to understand, though no expert for sure, is that sulphides are negative and precious metals are positives, so they are drawn to each other like magnets. So when you locate one, its becomes a lead to locating the other.
2) A big factor here is that the five crews I beleive it was, were covering 26 properties over a very short period of time, so basically taking samples as they walked along and not really having too much of a base to begin with outiside of the Geological survery maps. With this being the case, their quick grab samples still kicked!! Now, when they return to these areas with this information, they will be able to be much more selective and specific in their choices.
3) The release states that after they conducted work on the 26 properties, they were able to return to six of them to conduct a quick followup. I asked the company what work was entailed in this "quick" followup and they confirmed it would be trenching and further and more focused soil and rock.
4) The area around the Big One has been expanded due to the impressive results located at this site. I have no doubts staking will begin to commence around them after seeing this.
5) Those "host rocks" the release refers to speaks of rocks that are native to the area and not transported by glaciation which we discussed here on the board in great detail earlier on. I just thought I would mention this.
6) They mentioned 3 creeks that also were on the property that all three contained gold values. All the gold is, say, laying under the ground somewhere and feeding off and running into the streams around the area. Therefore, testing the streams and arriving at the head of the source would be very important I think in this phase I.
We have many more results to be released and the potential that has been revealed already in this short of time and early exploration leaves myself with little doubt that this could very well be my second opportunity to take an early position in the upcoming new Carlin of the Yukon.!!
Cheers everyone!
