Trailbreaker Resources Ltd V.TBK

Alternate Symbol(s):  APRAF

Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. is a mineral exploration company. The Company holds eight mineral properties in British Columbia (BC) and two properties in Yukon Territory. The Atsutla Gold project consists of over 36 mineral tenures covering over 40,000 hectares (ha) of underexplored, highly prospective ground in northwestern BC. The Skelly property covers over 2,525.59 ha (two claims) and is located just south of the British Columbia-Yukon border, approximately 100 kilometers (km) southwest of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. The McMurdo property covers over 1727.62 ha (one claim) and is situated in southeastern BC within the Spillimacheen Mountain Range, 30 km southwest of Golden, BC. The Eakin Creek property is located 100 km north of Kamloops, BC and covers 1,610 ha of prospective ground that drains into placer gold-bearing Eakin Creek. Its Connector Gold property is located approximately 40 km west of Kelowna and 55 km southeast of Merritt in south-central BC and covers over 1,894 ha.

Heating Up early........

Heating Up early........

There was an awesome post by Raptor7 done quite some time ago that would make a great refresher now as we await the Yukon to awaken from its slumber.   Appears today that something is awakening here, so best be ready for the odd surprize perhaps.....

2011 Reconnaissance Exploration

Someone had requested a running log of results to date. Well, I studied the <blank> out of this company on the weekend and compiled some notes in the process. I intend to refer to them in the future. Perhaps others will find them useful, too. Correct me if anyone sees any glaring oversights or mistakes.

Goldstrike Resources - 2011 Reconnaissance Exploration

Goldstrike completed first pass exploration on twenty-four 100% controlled projects, covering more than 4,000 claims and over 80,000 hectares. Quick follow-up exploration was also completed on six of the properties. Results as they were released by the company are detailed below:

August 18, 2011 - Lucky Strike Property: Located ~15 km east of Kinross' Gold Saddle property, felsenmeer samples returned up to 3.06 g/t Au. Soils samples returned up to 256 ppb Au.

August 18, 2011 - KZ-Strike Property: Contiguous with Rockhaven's Klaza discovery in the Mt. Nansen gold camp, soils samples returned up to 405.5 ppb Au. Further study and compilation is ongoing to lay out a Phase II program.

September 1, 2011 - Oliver Property: Adjacent to Golden Predator's extensive Scheelite Dome property south of Red Mountain where there exists four regional gold silt anomalies and several active placer creeks, initial outcrop samples returned up to 4.003 g/t Au. Soil samples returned up to 50.7 ppb Au. Describing the mineralized sample:

"The sample shows a strong intrusive signature and was taken in an area where a high-level stock of Cretaceous granite has formed tourmaline-matrix breccias, veins, and skarns in Hyland Group metasedimentary rocks. The Hyland Group is the same unit that forms the host rock at ATAC's Osiris discovery, and government geologists have suggested that metasediments in the Red Mountain-Dublin Gulch area also have potential for Carlin-style mineralization."

September 13, 2011 - Plateau North Property: Located 85 km south of Atac's Osiris property, reconnaissance sampling returned numerous anomalous gold, arsenic, antimony, mercury, and thallium values over a 7.5 km strike length that remains open. Assays have returned up to 1.544 grams per tonne gold in soils and up to 1.292 grams per tonne gold in rocks. This discovery has been named the "Gold Rush" zone. The Company states geochemical signature is characteristic of Carlin-style deposits. It also added:

"Based on these very positive results, the Company recently completed ground truthing of several additional targets in this area and carried out a staking program that has significantly expanded its land position. Phase 2 exploration is now underway, and is to include detailed geological mapping, prospecting, infill soil geochemistry and trenching directed toward identifying key horizons along this 7.5-kilometer trend in preparation for drilling."

October 31, 2011 - Big One Property: Located ~50 km northwest of Northern Tiger's 3ACE discovery, reconnaissance exploration discovered up to 18.56 g/t Au in subcrop and soil samples returned up to 359.2 ppb Au. The Big One claim block was increased to 648 units covering 162 square kilometers. Describing the high-grade rock sample, local geology and scope of success to date the Company added:

"The 18.56 gram per tonne gold sample is an oxidized, silicified breccia with abundant sulphides that was taken from a broad zone of rusty silicified subcrop."

"Host rocks in the area consist of a sedimentary sequence of sandstone, grit, quartz pebble and lithic conglomerate, shale, phyllite, limestone, and quartzite that show varying amounts of hydrothermal alteration, silicification, quartz veining, and stockworks. Sulphides are mainly disseminated pyrite, arsenopyrite, pyrrhotite, galena, and stibnite."

"Given the size of this property, it is clear that the Phase I reconnaissance sampling has barely scratched the surface. An aggressive Phase 2 exploration program in 2012 is planned to include detailed geochemical sampling, geological mapping, trenching, and drilling."

November 2, 2011 - Summit Property: Located ~15 km northwest of the Big One Property, reconnaissance exploration identified a new gold showing within a 4 kilometer by 2 kilometer anomalous gold trend that remains open. The new showing is being called Solomon's Summit. The main gold anomaly is located within a band of clastic limestone that is roughly 3 kilometers by 1.5 kilometers in extent. Samples present a Carlin-like geochemical signature. A grab sample of decomposed conglomerate with iron oxide matrix assayed 5.30 g/t Au. Thirty per cent of three hundred reconnaissance soil samples returned >15 ppb Au, including a best of 318.5 ppb Au.Geological Survey of Canada gold silt anomalies were used to vector in on potentially mineralized areas.

November 3, 2011 - Lucky Strike Property: This was follow-up work to the 3.06 g/t Au sample announced August 18, 2011. Main mineralized trend was dubbed the "Lucky Leprechaun" zone. The company is recommending follow-up work in 2012 where three distinct zones were identified during this 2nd stage of work:

  • Zone 1: Seven small excavator pits were dug 500 metres east of Zone 1 (3.06 g/t sample?) and uncovered oxidized, brecciated and silicified sericitic schist resembling the host rocks at Kaminak's Coffee Creek gold discovery. Anomalous subcrop samples from each pit returned from 1.031 g/t Au to .183 g/t Au.
  • Zone 2: Detailed soil grid to follow up previously identified soil anomalies ranging up to 256.2 ppb Au. Results pending.
  • Zone 3: Hand-held auger used to obtain 84 sub-surface soil samples. Anomalies ranged up to 124.5 ppb Au.

November 3, 2011 - New Cando-2 Property: A major new breccia zone was discovered late in the season by Yukon prospector Tom Morgan during the staking of Goldstrike's 100% owned Cando-2 and Cando properties. The zone
