RE: POST MORTEM!! This dramatic price swing could be a blessing or a curse depending on which side of the fence you are sitting on. For those looking to buy the current price is a bonanza opportunity as it should be a solid bottom. For those who unfortunately bought and held stock near its peak, you just took a bath and will be kicking yourself all the way to the margin call counter. The companies project and results base was no way worth what it was prior to the landslide but is now an absolutely valid entry point for a play which is sure to creep back up again along with the gold price in time.
There are very few companies which have the land base and early stage indications of huge future potential that Goldstrike does but the markets had this play at prices which were obviously inflated when compared against others with proven resources within more advanced projects so this latest development should have not surprised anyone and should have been expected to correct eventually. Just when that would happen was anyones guess but the release of grab samples by the company was not a good strategy in a market which is becoming more astutue over time and will not tollerate anything less than stellar drill results.
I would say that the worst is not over but once things settle down, this play will be at an entrance point which would rival the best of them.
