RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Canada is messed up

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Canada is messed upCorrect, few A-holes can break the rules, but that's no reason to not have tough rules.  The fact that all our new cases are "travel outside the Atlantic bubble" and close contact to those cases means, yes there is a ticking time bomb around every corner.  We can't stop people from coming and going.  But we can enforce 14 day quarantines on their return and that appears to be working well so far.  And with all the new variants things are getting tougher.  That said, NL already defeated a B.1.1.7 outbreak and NB is combatting and winning a B.1.1.7 outbreak right now.  I'm not bragging just pointing out the fact that Atlantic Canada is handling things well.  We have a history of doing the right thing in a crisis.  During the Spanish flu NS was the first province to report a case and death in Canada.  There were thousands of infected troops rolling through our provinces coming or going to war the in Europe.  Also, there were hundreds of infected Massachusetts fishermen contaminating our sea ports.  By the end of the Spanish flu the lowest martality rates in North America were: 1.) PE   2.) NS   3.) NB  with ON in 4th.

As per population and/or population density explain Saskatchewan (35,171 total cases; deaths 445) and Manitoba (34,656 total cases; 943 deaths).  Atlantic provinces (4,609 total cases; 103 deaths).  The combined population of Atlantic (2.45 million; density 4.7 per sq km).  Combined SK and MB (2.6 million; density ~2.0 per sq km).  Sorry to drag you into this SK and MB...

Cheers and GLTA,
One Proud Atlantic Canadian!
