3 times a week? I thought it was one and run
Comment by TheScientist01 on Jun 14, 2021 9:35pm
3 time a week = more money = higher SP... you got a problem with that?
Comment by Chrisvaughan on Jun 14, 2021 9:39pm
Yah i do, you need to take this test 3 times, that is NOT RAPID . Who is going to use this, you want to know in 15 minutes and to be comparable to a single pcr test this needs to be done 3 times over a week
Comment by Chrisvaughan on Jun 14, 2021 9:49pm
If this has no value as a one shot test, I think we are screwed . They better explain this better in a NR.
Comment by TheScientist01 on Jun 14, 2021 9:54pm
LOL you dont understand what RAPID testing is.. 36-48 hours for PCR tests results compared to 15mins for one Acuvid test.. that's 45mins in total a week. also that's likely less than half the price for 1 PCR test. You must have been a SONA bagholder.. I understand your skepticism with Therma, but you seem naive and haven't done enough research into it.
Comment by Chrisvaughan on Jun 14, 2021 9:59pm
Nope never owned a share of Sona. Are you telling me this is what you expected? I expected one test and you can go in an airplane for example, maube cross tge border If I am feeling sick i take a test and know in 15 minutes, not over tge course of a week, this will never sell. There has to be more to this 3 test nonsense

you think traveling is the only thing rapid testing is used for? think about thousands of schools and students and work places like amazon warehouses that could benefit from 15min rapid tests 3 days a week to slow the spread of covid and all the variants even with vaccines.. if you dont understand this, dont invest in therma, you'll lose your allowance.

My hypothesis about this 3 test thing, is that one shot is good enough to test. Remember, saliva tests have lower sensitivity, 80%.  PCRs are well over 90%.  I think they need to be like 95-96% or so. What they are indicating, if you administer the test over the course of the week, its accuracy will reach the same as a PCR (ie. viral load).   I think it's about the ...more

well, I guess I'll have a discussion with myself then. So stockmonster6 - what you mean is that as the viral load increases the test results increase to a point in time when they are as effective as PCR?   yes. Well that sounds like good news to me. Indeed.
Comment by Chrisvaughan on Jun 15, 2021 7:57am
What theu are ssying is thst they need to test when covidi is at its highest concentration and that is within a week of catching it. Acuvid has a hard time when concentration levels are low. Three tests will not sell if any of you thought thos was the path acuvid was going to have to take you are liars. Everyone thought one and done.the sp will reflect this.
Comment by Chrisvaughan on Jun 14, 2021 10:09pm
Homework? The shoppers rapid test gives you results in 15-20 minutes this is where acuvid needs to be, ffs.

Hey Scientist, Sorry what are you talking about regarding 36-48hrs?...there are many 15 min PCR tests out there today, the Ontario Gov actually makes them available for free to companies. The only redeeming feature Therma has is that it is a saliva based test versus a swab...I'm a holder but please do not spew misinformation like so many others here on both sides
