RE: RE: close today
I work at a sour gas plant near nordegg, literally under 45 mins away. I ve been operating at this gas plant for over 3 years and before that i was at a similar gas plant even closer to the nordegg area. Robb, Alberta if anyone would like specifics. As for your questioning about pipeline and infrastucture, i can tell you that theres is literally thousands of kilometers of pipeline from nordegg to, drayton valley, down south to rimby and strachan and up north to edson, hinton and grand praire. They would never build a plant in my opinion, heres why. Theres Gas and oil plants all over the western canadian sedimentary basin. Lots of these plants are competing for both oil and gas inflows due to the lack of drilling from deppressed gas prices. Third party companys such as ACG are popping up all over and have many options to which plant they can ship there products to. The company i work for (keyera) is a midstream company which owns the plants and piping in many areas including some out near nordegg as well as a plant there. Midstream companies such as keyera dont own any of the gas gas or oil that come in from the fields but provide a service of seperating liquid (condensate and water), sweetening the gas (removing H2s), fractionating (seperating butanes, propanes, c5's) and recompressing the gas back to sales ( Transcanada pipeline)
.
Hope this clears some thing up jmiguy
