Another excellent job of resurrecting past trials related to TLT activity.
Some excerpts:
(1) For patients with deadly cancer, the team injects Photofrin intravenously one day and takes the person to OR the next day. Photofrin is absorbed instantly by all cells of the body but it concentrates in cancer cells.
(2) The Photofrin in the cancer cells is activated by laser light and, in pretense of oxygen, triggers cell death.
So let's summarize:
- Photofrin is absorbed by all cells but is concentrated in cancer cells. The TLT PDC is hundreds of times more potent tha either ALA or Photofrin
- "in the presence of oxygen, triggers cell death". There's that O2 molecule again which does not have any negative impact on health cells which are normally oxygenated but when O2 is activated at the cancer cell nucleus the the result is cell death
Listen people. I know this is starting to sound redundant but these separate trials by others are reaching much the same conclusion.
