RE:RE:lost my mom in may. found bowl cancer in octoberThe finding that someone in ur family has cancer is bad enough, but it's the frequent & complete MISDIAGNOSES by our family physicians that is really troubling & really hurts!
By the time ur loved ones r referred to an oncologist, in many cases, the disease has spread, is too advanced & usually too late. That borders on GROSS MISCONDUCT in many people's eyes!
My family & many others that we got to know since, have shared their grievances through many contacts with & letters to the College of Physicians!
Some MDs we feel, always play it down & r very complacent & slow to react to symptoms, way too often. Instead of ordering tests, for persistent pain, constant cough, dull ache & discomfort, patients r quite often told that they're getting old, or older, to go home, take an aspirin or some gaviscon, & lay down to rest.
Something is AMISS with that attitude, & it needs to change!
