I think it must be about 20 years ago or so when I was following ONC (Oncolytics) that I began to believe that patients should have the right to choose a cancer treatment, whether proven to the nth or not, especially given the alternative which is usually, in the case of cancer, either death or a significant life struggle. Yes, there should be no room for outright charlatans (easily weeded out) but with treatments that show promise it should be the person's right to evaluate, then choose an option which gives them the best chance. If that means going offshore, so be it.
