2019 Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is a mechanism to kill cancer cells that is utilized to battle brain cancer in people in Europe. This technique is now being used to treat brain cancer in dogs as we learn how to improve upon the technique in people.
Dr. Impellizeri DVM, DACVIM (Oncology), MRCVS will begin the lecture discussing the technique of photodynamic therapy (how it works) and Dr. Jason Berg, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology) will conclude on the technique as it is used in canine brain tumor surgery.
