RE:RE:RE:Theralase Updated Website!!!!Dr. McFarland published a good article in 2018 on the details of immunogenic cell death during apoptotic cancer cell death. Like you write, there is ample evidence that pdt with TLD1433 induces ICD.

TLD-1433 Mechanism of Action

The beauty of our PDT is that it not only causes efficient cancer cell death primarily by apoptosis (a pathway which leads to less localized inflammatory side efffects/toxicity), it neatly generates damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMP), which elicits a favorable anti-tumor immune response.

Dendritic cells (DCs) are our immune system's sentinels that can be pulsed/co-cultured (or take a bath together with tumor antigen or DAMP) to produce DCs "highlighted" with tumor antigen...larger "Eat Me" signal...and why I thought pulsing DCs with porous nano silicon (acts like a sponge & soaks up lots of antigen) could also provide a delicious Eat Me signal.

We have now reached the point where "multiple" studies looking at "multiple" cancers have shown that vaccinating mice with PDT-treated cancer cells (containing DAMP) with or w/o pulsed DCs induces "potent" immunity against cancer cells.  Additionally, vaccinating "naive" mice has been shown to provide complete protection against cancer cells of the same origin or type (2015 squamous cell cancer study).  Key takeaway:  a healthy "systemic" anti cancer immune response was induced.

I believe TLT plans to take full advantage of this very realistic opportunity to bring the above cancer vaccination strategy to a new level of personalized immunotherapy, one which maximizes safety & excels in the treatment & prevention of both cancer & infectious disease...So much potential with PDT & our PDCs.  Good luck....
