I remember when
about 20 years ago. I was attending eciscopal services at the local Cathedral here in town. I would get there early so I could take in the stained glass and read the book of common prayer. I don't remember which prayer it was but it said something about even down to old age and hoary hairs the Lorrd looks after his own.. Well I was younger then and now starting to have hoary hairs.(even if my avatar doesn't show any). I'm sure many long suffering longs can relate.
Anyway, one Sunday I remember a former US Senator was invited to say a few words. He told an historical account about a wealthy man who wanted some legislation passed and asked his Senator to iniiitate a bill to move it forward before the US Congress. Some time passed and the wealthy man confronted the Senator why he had taken no action. And the Senator responded "I haven't receive my fee yet". This is how business is done in DC.
