Options

We have our answer: the 8 cent options were exercised and then dumped into last week's "huge volume".  It's going to be hard to convince investors that this is a good investment going forward when the leaders of the company clearly don't think so. Also consider that the CFO, the person who has one of the best insights into the value of this company sold ALL her shares.

They are telling us that this is going nowhere anytime soon. Sure makes it look like Crossland gets us excited so that they can dump their shares at higher prices. One could say that we have a management team that is in for themselves and a Board that enables them with shareholders being an afterthought. I thought we finally had a company that was going to go places. Unfortunately with this ...more

Feel free to cut-and-paste what I sent you.  Is it the part questioning why are you taking everything the wrong way and using a confrontational tone or the part that such discourse is unproductive and does not reflect well on you given some responses are not even relevant? My apology for using the SH inbox feature trying to reduce the amount of slime you fling at me every chance you get. For ...more

Options are what they are ,every company virtually the same or similar .---- In this case the options were .08 dirt cheap with the shares now at .20.  -They sometimes go the other way ex: .30 options  when the shares are .20 and they expire worthless and not excercized .  Check when the .08 options were handed out . Shares then at .08 ?? Likely .  No different now ,new options ...more

Absolutely correct . Only the shorters pushing the FUD are being hyperbolic about it .
Comment by AlbertESG on Dec 02, 2023 3:33pm
No issues with the strategy of giving out options to key people. The issue is that the key people exercised and immediately dumped their shares onto the market thereby killing a potential rally and probably sowing doubt into the minds of investors. And this comes at a time where Bill is supposed to be focused on attracting new investors and improving the shareprice for the long suffering ...more

Not sure how anyone could disagree with such a logical argument given the situation we are in. But I am sure some will try just because they have to disagree with everything.

Some just loaded up and hold these shares. AND -- the next Options are priced at 20 cents = peanuts until the SP is well above 30 cents .....
Comment by AlbertESG on Dec 02, 2023 6:56pm
Just about 2 million shares were dumped. Nobody "loaded up". And there are still more than 11 MILLION in the money and exercisable options outstanding with an exercise price of between 8 cents and 14 cents. Now that the AGM has passed and everyone has been re-elected, I would expect that any further share price appreciation could be met with more insider selling. It's certainly ...more

I assume correctly that the cash on hand has also increased at the same time. I also strongly believe the "insiders" would likely go out of their way to avoid any unwarrented  scrutiny.  It is a nice Christmas bonus, nothing more.  My opinion only.

Those of you who say whathhh? are losers.

People like money and why wouldn't they want to sell shares to get money immediately? especially since the common business practice is  to reissue new stock options at the current market price. Insider leverage essentially stays the same while they lessen their financial dependence on the company. If you and I could do this , we probably would. There are a few times when options bother me ...more

That is the discussion.  People liking money selling stock in their company at this time.  I am holding because I like money, yet they know so much more than me. Makes me wonder whether making money elsewhere is a better bet. GEM traps advantages over other steam trap technologies I think is an easier explanation than the one for Flu-Ace.  At this point I think many of us could say ...more

Yes people love money. Greed will always win out. That's why I think that the insider selling is especially bad news. If the insiders truly believed that higher prices were in the cards, their greed would have taken over and they would have held on to their shares. However, almost all of these shares were sold which means that they are uncertain as to the future prospects, and they would ...more

We all agree with the premise of people liking money but come to a different conclusion as to what insider selling means.  Crazy that the logic doesn't hold.
Comment by AlbertESG on Dec 03, 2023 5:40am
Either way, I view the selling as a bad omen. I guess we'll see. There are a couple of other things that I'm concerned about. 1. Gross Margins - GM's have been abnormally high. This is due to the sales mix being mostly tilted towards custom equipment. Once the turn-key starts to show up in higher proportions, GM's should drop back into the low 40's  possibly swinging us ...more

Q2 will likely be released at the end of January. Your observation regarding accounts receivable over 90 days is one I never would have looked for given Crossland's continuous emphasis on the focus on large clients.  Thermal offering products with great paybacks to world's largest companies and financing them is simply not something that should be happening. I have many times ...more

@AL I view the sales and buys as a good omen  , if there is such a thing . In my view , it shows to Mr. Market , that there is money to be made at tmg , regardless of whom is making it . Liquidity is king .

SEDI filing shows that for "transaction date" 2021-11-26 and "filing date" 2021-11-29,  director W. White gained 250,000 shares through exercising options at 0.115.  250,000 shares were sold for 0.12 with a "transaction date" 2021-11-26 and "filing date" 2022-10-05 (forgotten?). That would make it a gain of $1,250 He is the current Chair of the ...more

There is a long history with options here.  If you go back in time, you will see that the majority of options were not exercised.  Always issued at the market SP at the time with Five year terms. If you were running your own company, and depended on selling equity to make a return without any salary etc, how would you feel if after 5 years you made zero while you paid your employees ...more
