TORO OIL AND GAS LTD > An observation today....

An observation today....

Tamarack Valley bought Spur today at $65K per flowing barrel. Tamarack Valley could have bought Toro for $28K per flowing barrel based on 650 boepd. That was the sign I was looking for. Viking assets continue to sell for nice metrics and nobody wants Toro's Viking assets for cheap. A terrible sign. My money will go elsewhere. Good luck to all.

You know you are probably right. No one responded to your post because with $45 dollar oil there was nothing to say. Toro's land is clearly not economic at current prices despite what the CEO implied on BNN a while back. However, if oil goes to $55 or $60 per barrel after the non-opec production cut gets signed off on Nov 10, will that still be the case? My personal experience has taught me ...more

So you say Barry lied then you say he is smart. I have heard he is not only smart but well respected and honest. Have you called the company to understand the economics?

Robert41, no I have not called the company to discuss the economics. I was not implying the CEO directly lied but that he was being overly optimistic. Is the market pricing Toro's assets as economic right now at $0.24 per share? I doubt it. The buyout metrics of recent aquisitions in the Viking by Tamerack, Raging River and Whitecap where at a much higher valuation than Toro has been trading ...more

If I may..... Let's say they (per BOE) get similar field results in Q4 to Q3. price = 34.19 royalties =  (7.18) opcosts = (20.30) Netback = 6.71 Now, even with all their cuts in G&A, in Q3 it was $8.11/boe, but remember, it was based on 748 boepd. In Q4, it will be based on 650 boepd or so. So if G&A is now in that $558K/quarter range go forward, that's now $9.33 per boe ...more

WTI is at $54 and climbing. With the Saudi Arabia Oil Minister now saying they will now cut over their quota in January and Non-Opec agreeing to cut almost 600k to further balance the oil market, some analysts are now calling oil in the $60's by Q1 2017. We will see how high prices need to go for Hamilton Lake wells to be economic indeed. https://www.barrons.com/articles/BL-AFUNDSB-7980 https: ...more

survive or not survive the question is what will the company be scooped up at?? If oil holds in here I suspect its the old story of maniplation.. drive the shre price down and then buy it up on the cheap contrary to all the naysayers.... should oil go to 60$ and we get chasers watch the sparks fly.. first they short then they cover accumulate and run it.... a likely 5bagger..

You are correct . They have to expand ie: drill expand that volume! Its my understanding that that is what they intend to do.
