Interview of an FDA official, I think, who was asked why the FDA was not mandating RFID usage to prevent counterfeits from finding their way into unsuspecting consumers hands. A sad story of a lady with cancer who unwittingly was sold counterfeit precriptions for cancer treatment.
" Right now we're strongly encouraging usage," she said. But it certainly sounds like regulation is coming.
