TOTAL TELCOM INC. - SUBSIDIARY RECEIVES CERTIFICATION ON NEW PRODUCT LINE
Total Telcom Inc.'s wholly owned subsidiary, ROM Communications Inc., has received PTCRB certification on its proprietary new Cellular product line called "Alarm Point". Certification is a considerable undertaking and is a requirement of all major cellular carriers when deploying devices on their networks. The ROM "Alarm Point" is an advanced low cost cellular monitoring device easily integrated with sensors and GPS modules targeted for numerous commercial and consumer applications.
Neil Magrath, President of ROM Communications Inc, stated, "Over the past year Management has been implementing a strategic business plan that will see the Company target the more lucrative volume based commercial and consumer market segments. ROM has designed, tested and where required, certified a number of cellular and satellite products. The Company has entered into a Reseller Agreement with a national cellular carrier (ROGERS) to provide competitive data and roaming rates across Canada and the United States. ROM has established a private APN (gateway) to the Carrier's Network and built out its own backend to accommodate the new products and services. Final manufacturing details are presently being concluded and a professional marketing and sales group is being established. The first products are being scheduled for release late April."
ROM Communications provides "Web to Wireless" products and services across North America for remote control, monitoring and asset management. ROM is an authorized airtime reseller and hardware developer for satellite, cellular and wireless IP Networks.
