Commission, SMC and fundingGood Morning all,
Okay, not pumping. Just pointingt out what appears to be Ucore's plans for SMC 2 & 3 and there locations. As for the 4th SMC that is just guess work. A large deposit in Montana would need a separation plant near.
Commissioning, We know that the Demo plant has 51 stages, each one doing a slice or that is what Mark called it. Each stage has to be tested and tweaked to optimum perforance before you go on to the next one. We also have a standard SX circuit that has to be setup and run so they can show the differents between the two. I expect the location of the first SMC before comissioning.
SMC, if Lynas is shut down in March and MP can't get the last 10% separated by the end of the year. Then there will be lots and lots political pressure to get something up and running and that means money. The more the pressure, the more money for SMCs to be build in more locations.
Funding, To me a fully commissioned Demo plant testing concertrates will get funding. RSX had no problems at lab or pilot scale. Remember the only thing different than standard SX is the pumbing, columns instead of big settling tanks.
Pip, keeps calling RSX a science experiment. It stopped being a science experiment when it moved from lab to pilot scale. For the record you don't hire scientist to build to full scale for that you hire engineers. The scientist job is done at the lab scale, figuring out how to made it work, the concepts. The engineers is the guys that build it, not the scientiist. Been one of those engineers to many times, not to know how it works.
I am off to lunch with friends/
