RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Wow

40 years? come on now..nobody has bought this stock to hold for  any longer than 2 to 5 at max and to be honest if it doesn't pop in the next 18 to 24 months then its not going too ( these speculative plays are all the same, roller coaster ride till it pops and then either it gets taken out or dividend or it doesn't pan out and financing dries up and all those longs wait to last min and panic sell with no buyers stepping up and lose it all)

But my point was that if an invester is long and is a preacher of the fundamental story (which in this case is compelling) then they honestly believe that they will be paid multiples in the end then who cares about the SP action between now and then??If the share dips below your average from time to time its not a loss because you haven't sold it (your a longterm investor and you can look at it as a chance to buy on the cheap)

I wasn't suggesting anyone hold for the sake of avoiding a loss(your right that would be stupid and that type of investor should consider a different hobby)

You cannot use stock to secure a loan but your mention of buying at $1 and then being worth a quarter can be a very good thing at tax time if you play it right as well as sheltering through a TFSA (a large chunk of my profits are totally tax free :)
