4 million in funding, not a bad start.

4 million in funding, not a bad start.Good Morning,
Be carefull in your youth, the dumb things you do that hurt, you pay for in old age.  Waking up should not hurt this much.  I am on my first cup of Folgers so please forgive any missed words or bad spelling.
I disagree with Pip about DEMO plant timeline.  As I remember, when the quarterly report was posted it was stated that the DEMO plant needed 2 million and change to final commissioning.  No I am not going to find the post and repost it.  Maybe Pip, who is great at finding old post can find it and repost it.  The money from DOD should speed up the timeline not slow it down.  They were being slow because they were short money.
As with any award or contract with DOD there is lots of strings.  So here is my read.  Some where there is a staff office that is tasked with finding the latest tech in separation.  They will track it and step at the right moment to get the best deal for DOD.  Ucore stated in the quarterly report they needed 2 million to finish commissioning.  Enter stage right the US Army, with four million buck.  That is enough to finish the DEMO plant and do the testing on RSX that the DOD wanted.  I am sure that most, if not all that follow this board have figured out.  That Ucore is not your regular REE play.  Ucore is not a miner that has a deposit that they are building a separation plant to separte just the ore from that deposit.  They are doing something much much harder.  You build a separation plant for one deposit then it is a heavy or light plant and keyed to the ore in that deposit.  That makes building the plant easier and simpler.  But Ucore is not doing that.  They don't what to be a miner, they want to be a separater of concertrate.  RSX does both light and heavy concertrate and all 17 REE and the battery metals.  DOD know this and that is what they are looking for.  This is something that MP and Lynas can't do, both of there plants are keyed to there deposits.  So everytime that Ucore proves it can do something they get money.  Example, prove they can do both lights and heavies from two different concertrates.  Do all of the REEs one at a time and the battery metals they get paid.  All of us are betting that RSX does just that.  Ucore proves that they can be the next step in separation tech, then they become DOD fairhair boy and funding will will never be a problem again.  Until somebody come up with something better, faster, cheaper.  Believe me DOD loves cheaper.
To the cream that stops the pain, no matter how bad it smells.  I am off to tuesday brunch with the guys.  It is coming together people, slowly ( oh so slowly).  So hang on.
