Reading farms old posts re: ucore and other companies shows you what a pumper he is. everything is " huge news today" and this thing going to fly meanwhile all his stocks do nothing.   He was mocking me how I was buying that dog of a stock in TESLA late December.  Funny how it's up around 70% since then havent brought one iota of decent commentary.  Others at least ...more

Pip. What about plug,?
Comment by PipinoCuevas on Mar 27, 2023 6:00pm
PLUG AS OF TODAY, VERY DISAPPOINTING But I dont claim its going to the moon I think its a very interesting Hydrogen play thats a long term (think 2030) scenerio as of now, CEO has been missing estimates New IRA bill with alot of hydrogen tax credits and 8 billion in hydrogen hubs scattered thru the USA makes it a must watch PLUG may take 5 -7yrs to sniff new highs  but my average cost is in ...more

Don't know what will happen to PLUG. In 5 to 10 years, an increasing % of green hydrigen wiil come from nuclear fisssion SMR's (small modular reactors) producing hydrogen when sun shining and wind blowing. In long run, perhaps fusion reactors.
Comment by PipinoCuevas on Mar 27, 2023 8:18pm
Could be, but thats gone be a real long amount of time jmho

Bob those modular reactors are probably longer away then that i know bill  gates backs one company that's testing this decade. but hey, what do I know.  I own ucore
Comment by PipinoCuevas on Mar 27, 2023 9:01pm
Some are also concerned about potential nuclear waste issues from  SMRs also.    So that could be tough sledding.
Comment by PipinoCuevas on Mar 27, 2023 9:07pm
From what I can gather is a short time, SMRs are in maybe their pilot stage also, it's supposed to be a cheaper, cleaner way than conventional reactors? sound familiar? yep, the same kinda logic with RSX and SX!   I better call Boyd Davis about this! seriously, it's an interesting subject for sure but isn't any slam dunk anytime soon   Even a decade.   Hydrogen ...more

This fall, TerraPower and PacifiCorp announced a joint plan to study the feasibility of adding up to five additional commercial Natrium reactors by 2035, to be sited in other communities interested in hosting advanced reactors.
Comment by PipinoCuevas on Mar 27, 2023 9:23pm
u did say 5-10 yrs       probably 2040 TerraPower, the advanced nuclear company backed by Bill Gates, announced last week that the start date for its Natrium reactor has been pushed back. As Russia is currently the only commercial source of the high-assay low- enriched uranium (HALEU) the plant requires, the company faces a lack of fuel availability. TerraPower originally ...more
Comment by VeritasBob on Mar 27, 2023 9:44pm
X-ebergy and others plan to produce HALE. Won't need Russia. Don't think fuel will be loing pole in ten. Unless Ucore is handed a monoploy, in which case HALE 2028, HALE+ 2030, UltraHALE 2033+, etc.
Comment by VeritasBob on Mar 27, 2023 9:32pm
At lesat 5 years for 1st operational SMRs. In 10 years,  should be significant Megawattage generated. I'd trust Boyd Davis' take more than Mark M's. If RSX flops, Ucore can pivot to producing HALE Uranium fuel which SMRs use. That would bring Ucore back to its roots as a Uranium company - that's what the U in ucore stands for. Seriously though, i think Ucore should approach ...more

You are definitely more well versed on it than me probabLy room for hydrogen and smr.  I just think it's gonna take twice as l9ng, just like everything else.
Comment by VeritasBob on Mar 27, 2023 10:44pm
I was predicting green hydrogen production by SMR will become in creasing percentage of green hydrogen production. Hopegully (unbless you're PLUG or HTOO shareholder) SMR hydrrogen  will be cheaper than current green hydroigen. SMR producees power 24/7. Only down for very occasional maintenance. Produces stready load - so when sun is shining and/or wind blowing, don't need all the ...more

Fusion power is a lifetime away.  Aware of what their doing at Lawrence Livermore labs ( live 15 minutes from it). But commercially, not in my lifetime i don't think the electrolyzers have to worry about smr's anytime in. Like at leastThe next 10 yrs Like I said, hurdles with nuclear waste , permits, terra( one of the most promising) not even being close to pilot.  Green hydrogen ...more
Comment by VeritasBob on Mar 28, 2023 1:19am
The Lawrence Livermore stuff is really just for nucealr weapons analysis. Not a serious endeavor for fusion power. Look at Commonwealth Fusion Systems, among others, if you want to see a serious effort at developing fusion for the power grid. They're using yttrium barium copper oxide tape for magnets for their Tokamak.  Even if the entire world were powered by toakmaks using yttrium ...more
