RE:RE:What am I missing?I would not be suprised if there was a little manipulation going on. Think about it. Management wants the deal to go through in May. USCO man/directors only own 6% of the company so it's not like they have that much actual control of the way the vote goes. If they want to ensure that the shareholders to vote Yes to the deal, they will want there to be a decent premium left come May.
But yes, why anyone would be buying FCC over USCO right now is beyond me.
Either the market is saying "we don't think the deal will happen" OR there is a concerted effort on someone's part to keep the USCO SP low/ FCC SP high (keep the spread there).
Like I said before, I love the deal. Makes a ton of sense for both companies and I think they are more valuable together than they are apart. But the with the deal being in shares, and them leaving the vote for 2+ months, it isn't going to be the most straight forward process. And there will certainly be room for manipulation.
