The last securities lawyer I spoke with said  a press release has to be sent out every time something material happens.  If everything is official on Christmas eve, that's when the announcement will come out.  I don't think the company has set a goal to achieve a maximum day price spike and then shut everything down.  With holding information is also against the law.

The news will get out there and circulate fully in due time.

A great passive attempt at convincing people to dump their shares though.  Can we expect another choked chicken campain aswell?  Or a wounded baboon, with only one wish to end world poverty.  Oh, the humanity.  Sell everyone!
