I see what Whitenorth means. It has to do with the way the bid/asks are being set up. The trick is to determine whether they are fake/blocking bdis or asks. It can also mean especially if there are no gaps that action is coming one way or another.Maybe the buyer or sellers are seeing who will blink first. That is all part of trading. Have not got the time to expand furthe but maybe someone can

Many strategies  when it comes to the stock market. Buying 500,000 shares at .08 would take more than 1 day.....an expiry date on that order could be weeks away.

This is a compltely new thing to me so I am not even going to come close to endorsing it but it might be of some interest to follow.  I am not sure if this applies only to the USA stocks or also to Canadian markets.
