Ventripoint Diagnostics Ltd is a Canada-based medical device company. The Company is engaged in the development and commercialization of diagnostic tools that monitor patients with heart disease. It is developing a suite of applications for all heart diseases and imaging modalities, including congenital heart disease, pregnancy, pulmonary hypertension, COVID-19, imaging, and cardiotoxicity in oncology patients. The system’s proprietary Knowledge Based Reconstruction (KBR) technology creates 3D models of the heart and calculates volumes and ejection fractions equivalent to the gold-standard Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

This week I was privileged to be a panel member at The Data Effect Vancouver's summit on AI and Health. The application of AI to healthcare holds tremendous promise; from improved efficiency in delivery of services, through more efficacious treatment plans, to faster and more consistent diagnostic testing. It was interesting to hear the successes and challenges experienced in adoption and implementation of AI technologies in Canada. I departed the summit comforted by the robustness and security of our system architecture, and confident that our current focus on connectivity and workflow integration will deliver improved user experience and efficiency.
