Canadian Small/Micro Cap Top picks for 2021

Just for a little break while we wait for 3.0 sales news, how about people giving there top small / micro cap picks for 2021. While Vpt is on my list I also like TMG, IP, HP, ACU,GDNP, YNV and VIS. As I am always looking for new ones what are others top picks? These are all Venture or CSE listed.

Sorry canon no disrespect intended but holy fark!! A little break to wait for 3.0 sales. Its been a 10 yr break till now (with no sales - just loaners). Every day that tics by means the bank account gets lower and lower,   Also, I dont think I want to look into any of your micro cap picks if you have selected VPT as a top performer to be included.  Have you investigated VPT at all ...more

sunsett grill i also find that is going to slow and that they need to partner with a firm with lots of experienced sales guys! BUT ASSUME that even if they would give them for FREE that all of them are top tier hospitals... they wouldn't accept it if it didn't worked!! just my humble opinion
Comment by SunsetGrill on Jan 08, 2021 12:05pm
Yup agreed - they have 10 units out in top tier hospitals . FOR 10 YEARS NOW. and dont you think if they worked - the top tier hospitals would have PURCHASED more by now. PS they already tried a top sales team. The problem was its hard to sell ice to an Innuit.  Thats the way the hospital industry works - try it out - BTW where are all the glowing accolades from these hospitals stating that ...more

The VMS3.0 is not out for 10 years! they exist 10 years and you know the first 2 where far from great and user friendly VMS 3.0 is really operational since 2020 big difference Either way if nothing happens the next 12-18 months I will give the credits but I still believe in it
Comment by SunsetGrill on Jan 08, 2021 12:32pm
NO - not a big difference at all. AND they dont have enough money for 12-18 mos. Such a big difference - how come NO sales??

'Correct. 'They had cash on hand of ~295k in September, and IF they could convert AR etc 400k Based on a burn rate of 80k- they would be expected to be insolvent by next month-unless they get more cash. 'This is based on published financials. "The Company’s use of cash at present occurs, and in the future will occur, principally in two areas, namely, funding of its ...more

A question is how will they execute sales if they are now reducing the  cash burn to avoid liquidity concerns? Who is in the sales team? They may cut back on expenses, but if they don't grow the sales team how will they move the units? I saw that Dave McPhedran was Director of sales, but in July the title on the web changed to consultant. So has the position/commitment  changed ...more

Lets call a spade a spade - The Good Dr. is likely now double or triple dipping in the salary department as I generally feel the whole reason of the recent raising of capitol was for him to draw a salary till the next raise (which I cant imagine will be able to draw in the same suckers as last time)

now your starting to figure all this out. I've never seen a stock with so much speculations and no delivery. Give it time they said it will be a good company they said

It took me about 45 minutes going through financial documents to figure out the business prospects of this company. They have negative working capital, no revenue, negative cash flow, and based on cash burn will be insolvent within the next few months, but within 12 months at the latest if they’re able to cut all expenses and just wait it out   The only chance, is if sales ...more

so GrahamB, what's your role here, to save us? Long time 'longs' know the risk/reward ratio that VPT offers without your help. Also, time to come clean, do you own any VPT shares? If not, back to question 1, why are you here?
Comment by GrahamB on Jan 10, 2021 1:32pm
Why am I here?   Fair question.   I got involved in VPT when it was promoted on another board of a stock which I owned but now I follow  After that, I did a deep dive of the company.   My research informed me not to buy this company YET.   I spent the time and now I feel I have an informational edge which I can exploit if they begin to make significant ...more

GrahamB Obviously the mission you are so eloquently taxed with is to envoke a sense of doubt with current investors on this board. If you can do that, then perhaps you can sway current investors to in turn see your reasoning and start a selling avalanche providing you with an opportunity of a buy-in at a price you are comfortable with. Graham, you have so many questions!! Perhaps you could ...more

I wouldn't buty if this dropped to 1cent if they don't execute. 'There needs to be a change in the business prospects or this is too speculative. 'If they don't get the sales, and this translates into profits (after debentures/debt/operating cash flow) In terms of envoking doubt-I am simply providing a basic analysis of the financials. If that creates doubt in investors ...more
