On the question as to why he quit.
JMHO ..... but PO seamed to be in in a panic mode when he found out about the Green Proxy about to become public info.
In a frantic attempt to regain support from shareholders he anounced a drilling program, for which there was insufficent funds in the bank to pay for.... The large cost of sustaining PO draining the company of funds..... Every placement eaten up by his expenses and salary.
Knowing he could not get support of further funding to pay for the drilling he quit, leaving Christian as the bagholder.
It is a Geoligists responsability to be sure there is adaquate funding to carry out the work under his supervision..... Thats the way I see this as how/why the chain of events ended up. MNG attempting to bankrupt the company before the green proxy holders could gain control of the company.
What the old guard didn't realize is the support in shares and cash that the shareholders would bring to bare and salvage the company that the old guard were giving last rites to!
He also underestimated the will of Adriaan to man up and do the right thing for all the investors he had spoken to over many years.
