Vulcan Info

One may not like Sprott but he is a very smart billionaire investor who buys many different junior mining stocks. His strategy is to spread out the risk by having a multiude of penny stocks as well the big boys.

I have 4 different Newfie mining stocks including VUL to spread out the risk as well. Well not like my favourite stock SIC, VUL is now a technical buy on the charts and is in a rising pattern. Once it gets some more volume in this uptrend it will do pretty good. It has several different land packages which is positive as if only one hits some good drill holes it will do well.

I hold several juniors in other parts of Canada and  Mexico and always like to see Sprott and other institutional investors as well as insiders with big positions in these juniors. Much safer than listening to the hype and buying one trick ponies and possibly moose pasture!

I just see that VUL is up 2 1/2 cents or 10% as of 10.35 AM

As always do your own research and diversify.

Bjbear, I like you have spread my money around several of the Sprott plays. Follow the money is often a good strategy. I like VUL for a number of reasons, 1) it has money and getting more from Sprott surely isn't a bad thing because if they hit something he will put more money in and support by buying in the market, 2) VUL has something like 27M shares in Red Moon Resources which is trading ...more

Yes I think Vulcan has some good plays that could pay off with some good drill results. Here is a great general article on the gold plays in Newfoundland which I feel is the most exciting area in Canada right now. Enjoy! https://321gold.com/editorials/newfoundland/klondike.pdf

Bjbear, 321gold is a good overview of what is going on in Newfoundland. Such an exciting area play that is attracting a lot of attention around the world. I can't wait until NFG gets their US listing, that will really open the door to investors from the US, in particular the big gold funds. VUL is perfectly positioned with several irons in the fire, hopefully the price hangs around here to let ...more

Yes, you have a great point about Vulcan's ownership of RMK-V. RMK has 72.6 million shares of which VUL owns 40% or about 29 million shares presently trading at 0.97 per share so Vulcan's ownership is worth 28 million dollars at today's market price. The crazy thing about this is that Vulcan's market cap is 0.27/share x 82 million shares or only 22 million dollars. Add in Vulcan ...more

Bjbear..... you forgot to add in the 1 M shares that VUL owns of SASSY which is trading at $0.80. The way I look at it is that we are still early days with VUL, RMK and Sasy and the area play around NFG. They all have money and will be drilling, thus likely a very high probablity of the price of RMK and Sasy going higher, and in turn the valuation for VUL....  can one say win-win-win....  ...more

Here are the market caps info for VUL and RMK as well as VUL % ownership of RMK: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/investing/markets/stocks/VUL-X/ https://www.theglobeandmail.com/investing/markets/stocks/RMK-X/ https://www.theglobeandmail.com/investing/markets/stocks/RMK-X/ If I include SASY-CN with 1 million shares at 0.82/share that is another $820,000 addition to VUL's evaluation. Here is ...more

Finally a little chatter on this board. Your points are valid, Vulcan is undervalued based on its ownership of RMK alone. You know the drills will be turning, now they have aquired another $ 4 million. The red cross lake property has incredible potential. I wonder if the geophycics on the property was part of the reason for the 4 million private placement? The big boys are on board. It's going ...more
