RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Somebody had a "wake up" call.Addtional potential reasons for the (and I'm just brainstorming here, not arguing for the relative merit on any of these) relatively muted share price response to all the good news these last few weeks:

1) The tail end of tax loss selling season
2) The generally light volumes for the overall market this time of year (which suggests that not everyone is paying that much attention to the markets, which does beg the question: Why release the infomation about a share buyback when not everyone is listening...it's not material news and could have waited until January 4th)
3) The fact that we trade on the Venture Exchange (some fund managers could not invest in WND even if they wnated to)
4) The fact that we are still a micro-cap, and based on a market cap of less than 100 million the majority of  fund managers could not invest in WND even if they wanted to
5) Alternative energy plays, from WIND to SOLAR and beyond are not terribly fashionable as investments right now. Most alternative energy plays have had a very rough 6 months (which makes them prime tax loss candidates)
6) Wind energy has been especially pummelled in the press the last few months, what with T. Boone giving up the windy ghost, endangered eagles flight patterns mothballing some farm plans in many states, and other negative press surrounding the economics of wind energy in general, not to mention the ongoing health concern laments from some persons living near some farms.
7) The Republican taking of the house of reps cast a shadow over potential alternative energy subsidies, up until the very recent tax incentive extension that alleviated many fears, at least for one more year
8) The fear that construction of Windstar and Kingman will have cost over-runs.

All these things being said I am convinced that WND will be considerably higher in the months to come. This new share buyback plan adds a new wrinkle of mystery that is much more interesting (and way less stressful) than our previous serial "As The Financing Turns", which I will admit I felt at times was not going to happen. Oh, to have the opportunity to buy shares at $1 again...

All the best this holiday season, everyone!
