Modgil

The question is why would you own shares in a company that you consider poorly managed? Why don't you invest in companies that are well managed?

Impega I took a position in WND purely from an arb perspective. The reason anybody has any chance of making money in this stock is because BEP is willing to pay. So, for the next few days, what WND has is a a "real" offer and a "real" bidder. If any of you are thinking that once BEP bid fails, you will make money as somehow there will be "unleashing of a true auction ...more

Define "poorly managed" versus "well managed"

Except for 1 small fact.  BEP sees value in WND as well and the company isn't going to implode because BEP didn't pay out WND investers.   Yes the oppertunity of today is gone and maybe theres no bids for awhile the share price does dive who does that hurt though... The arbs and we want a quick buck people... WND investers who believe still have value hold WND stock ...more

Good Luck with that Lunderk. How much has the value increased since the  AQN bid??. Now all of a sudden, WND will grow and its value will be $5 in a year even without a bidder !!.   Remember: " A bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush"         & "In the Long Term, We are All Dead !!"

So Modgil as an arb player you must be hoping for a higher bid from BEP right? AQN was offering $2.50 before Kingman and Windstar were complete. What makes you think irt should only be 10 cents more with both projects fully commissioned, running smoothly and throwing off substantial cash flow. As much as you dislike management they got the projects built that BEP so covets. You portray BEP as some ...more

Impega, In that case: 1). Why not a "better" alternative bid 2). Why no "fairness opinion" by Rothschild and no mention in the circular by WND.

I never said all of a sudden WND will be worth $5 ina  year without a bidder  settle down and read my post I said and I'll highlight some key words Then a NEW BIDDER will emerge and at that time it MIGHT be the $5 in a year people want. I never said anything about the market value of WND being $5

Simply put BEP is not playing by the same rules as the other potential bidders. It is not a level playing field. They are using their insider position to their full advantage and evidently they are content to bully shareholders into accepting their 2 final offers. Thus far shareholders have said no thanks to BEP's 2 FINAL offers? Why do you think shareholders have said no to such generous ...more
