RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Well look at that Sam. Gee I really hate to be a naysayer but this new super speed thing is not going to benefit Yfi, and is in fact largely useless across the board, except in very specific use cases.
First, speed is determined by the wifi protocol in use. The fastest any wifi transmission can be is only that of the protocol. Who knows when, if ever, a protocol that could deliver this speed would be available. Who knows what the technical constraints could be. There are already faster wifi protocols that are limited in the distance they can travel and they are also impacted by walls, limiting their practical usefulness.
Second to get this speed you would need a point to point connection using this new gear and all fiber. Any computer connected via Ethernet, phone lines or coax would only get the speeds rated for those cables. The ISP's all talk fiber, but the vast majority of homes still have copper and coax lines and not many people are about to rewire their houses with fiber.
As opposed to touting something that is a complete non issue maybe focus on yfi's absolute inability to sell its product. Its not unreasonable to ask that given they've been at it for 13 years.
