Thanks jimmer10.

Goes to show that Caustic Bake alone with no other variables as is the case in the bench scale purity testing, isn't achieveable or scaleable on a commercial level.

Temperature seems to be a variable in the bauxite processing using caustic bake as well as other varuables.

That is an added cost to the process, so IMO it will be essential to prove the NaOH use in the purification process on a larger scale, and see what other variables will need to be tweeked.

Not sure if stirring alone will cause a bulk sample of ore to purify with NaOH alone, or if it will need heating or other mixtures.  It still needs more testing of course.  JMO
