A very good explanation by Kaiser.  Thanks Edward Blake. So they need to get anothe 300 feet or so (100m) to get into the ore body. He also mentions a 200 to 300 m intersection which would be enormous. That means that next week this should really heat up....unless they have more tough drilling problems. A nail biter for sure but hopefully worth it in the long run. He keeps making comparisons ...more

What do you expect, Kaiser is a pumper who has the personality of a robot. I didn't think much about the Bighorn sheep - aparently Grape Creek is part of the Protecting America's Wilderness Act? Even if they hit, and the grade is there, can this be permitted? There's a lot of opposition. Many great projects have been mothballed because of environmental concerns, etc.

JMark, There recently was a large meeting for drill permitting.  Zephyr has the support of the government and local permitting entities, otherwise it would have not made it this far.  I would suggest looking back and researching some of this.  Good question though.

Thanks. I have researched it a bit, but just because an exploration permit is issued doesn't mean clear skies ahead. I've been there before, not fun. I believe a congresswoman and the governor were against mining in the ...more

the governor is a Dem, so anything could happen to block or rescind any resource or energy development, in the name of eco-menatlaism....he has publicly stated he's against it, has also recently written a letter 'of concern' to the unfortunately named Bureau of Land Management (BLM....hahahhahah) about the resumed activity in Fremont County.  could prove problematic at some point ...more

Who cares? If we find an elephant one of the majors will buy it. It won't be our problem and the majors have lobbyists.

That's not how it works, majors are risk averse. Look at what just happened with Northern Dynasty's project.
