RE:re--mapColombia uses a different or older dated mapping system for claims and if companies are not aware of this their claims are not accurate and they miss peices, that is how I understand it and not the 1st time it has happened.
Galway got a $300 million settlement for fractional claims it had over Ventana's deposit, a lot smaller than Gramalote but Gold prices higher than. When you make a Gold discovery you better make sure you own all the claims, Coeur Mining also had a similar thing in Nevada with lapsed claims, cost them 10s of millions.
From what I have learned on Colombia mining law and this is the same everywhere, is you can not explore/drill on claims you don't have title to. It also breaks environmental laws. Since Anglo was aware they did not have the claims because they had an application in and was not approved yet, they also act as if they are above the law. It might be a long shot but they risk losing the whole thing
