Sample 2 was excavated from a trench on the southern lobe of the pipe, at a depth of approximately 5.5 metres below surface, and 1.5 metres below the level of the first bulk sample, the results of which were reported on September 8, 2010. Combined, Sample 1 and Sample 2 produced 4,786 diamonds with a total weight of 1,014.62 carats from 4,158.2 dry tonnes of kimberlite, resulting in an average recovered grade of 24.4 cpht, maintaining an average stone size of 0.21 carats per stone.
