RE:Cannabis beverages

RE:Cannabis beveragesFirst off the Cannabis Drink sector only makes up a very small percentage of total sales for those companies who are into it so at the moment the appeal to get into drinks may be low.  Secondly the overhead to acquire the production equipment is high so there is a barrier to entery for many companies.  The final reason is likely the complexity of actually producing drinks that both taste great and can survive sitting on a shelf without losing its potentency.

The two largest players for drinks are Canopy Growth (WEED) and HEXO Corp (HEXO).  Tilray Brands (TLRY) has some drinks and they are working to do a merger of HEXO Corp so their JV with Molson Coors (Truss) for the production of infused drinks will go over to Tilray assuming HEXO Corp investors vote in approval of the deal (likely IMHO).

Overall I think there is going to be a large demand for drinks in the future (post-US Legalization) but for the time being there are very limited players of size in the space.  Note that there are smaller players producing drinks as well so do some research to find those if that is what you are after.

All the best
