I just watched most of the replay of John Embry's appearance on Market Call. In response to a question about another stock (BFD), he talked about its proximity to the Virginia find and spoke of this (VIA's find) in terms like: "major discovery", "very legitimate", etc.. It sounded to me like a pretty positive endorsement. It might also explain some of today's action with VIA on a day when gold is down significantly. P.S. Thanks for your reply ChuLai. PIB

this is who we are dealing with , so when he gets on rob tv and hammers us as being to expensive. The mkt reacts , THE GAMES HE PLAYS ARE HISTORIC AND HE GETS AWAY WITH IT. This is from an other board put news worthy John Embry of Sprott Securities said he does not own any EXL or SSR shares PROFESSIONALLY, ie. he does not own any in his Mutual Funds. What he did not say was whether his ...more

In the US disclosure extends to any account under control which includes personal and family. Is it different under Canadian regs?

As far I am concerned , the rules are totally different . The regs are a joke ..... I think no one in Canada has ever been jailed after any kind of wrongdoing in the stock market . As an example , I remember two past offenses : a well known geologist at BRE-X and a well known officer at Corel both of them got almost any penalty compared to what they earned with their illicit trading .....
