8 M of 4.58 g/t gold The Sadjafi Prospect is on the Banda Ahenkro JV ground in western Ghana and Newmont is earning its JV.
This is just one of three projects in Ghana, neither of which is given any value in the current market cap.
However, this project straddles the projected sw extension of the Ahalo shear zone which hosts Newmonts 10 m oz Ahalo gold mine.
The fact that Newmont wanted an earn-in shows that it has significant prospecctive upside.
The strike length is estimated to be 5 km, which indicates that there is multi-million oz potential.
These were just a few shallow scout holes, but they intersected some excellent mineralization over the full 200 m width of the drilled sections.
As a first poke, that is very impressive.
The stock sort of sold off at this news, which is hard to understand, given the impressive initial results and the fact that this project is not part of the current market cap.
Of course, the volume is light and many retail investors are deficient in drill interpretation.
At these levels, this is a no-brainer.
