Why so pessimistic?

I'm surprised most of you folks aren't wishing this stock would hit $0.20 in the next few weeks.  Personally, I've owned this stock since gold was at $200/oz when it was still called Birim Gold (T.BGI).  I'd like it to go down to $0.20 so that I can load up another 100k.  Just to put in perspective--my soon to be 15yr old was an infant when I bought this stock.  Good luck and I hope this becomes a hundred-bagger.

favill - "....Good luck and I hope this becomes a hundred-bagger...." . 100 bagger?   Are you dreaming?   Currently VTR's market cap is $70 millions..... You are saying VTR will be a $7B company?   You are kidding me...... I would be happy if it's $700 million company (a 10 bagger) like Keegan Resources (KGN)?!...... Stop dreaming and be realistic. . ...more

gold_diggers1, its not out of the question at all.  It just depends on your time frame.  It seems that favill has patience and a long term perspective like me.   Volta does not begin and end with Kiaka.  Remember our goal is to become a leader in West Africa mine development and we will have many other conquests beyond Kiaka, long term.  Randgold started out as a ...more

wow, people are still in the stratosphere..... have not come down to earth yet.... When favill said it's a 100 bagger, that means the sp will be $.45 ---> $45.00 per share for all the people buying now..... And when I said $7B company, I am assuming VTR O/S shares remaining at 160mil shares (fully diluted) in a ideal, dreaming world.    Now, will the shares remain ...more

lol, alright let's start with the ten-bagger, and that is certainly realistice in a one or two year time frame.  But where do we go from there?    Once we get Kiaka up and running and generating some revenue we will be in a good position to expand.  Yes some money will be spent to finance the mine, but then the company will be rewarded financially - ie. we do have a ...more

10 years or more is a long time, not a blink of an eye as one's life consists of not many these 10 year time frames..... Well, I certainly hope the next 10 years is good for favill...... but who would say the next 10 years won't be like the past 10 years for favill (what did VTR bring you the last 10 years in terms of what shares are worth, not VTR exploration results/resources ...more

Thanks, gold-digger.  Good luck to you as well.  Try not to focus too much on the market and look at the socio-economic and geo-political view.  It's these last two that dictate what will happen.  The market is merely a reflection of what is going on in the world.

favill, you are welcome..... I certainly hope VTR will be back to $2 - $3/share in the near future.... like in 2013/2014 as I am heavily invested in this company as well since I see the potential values.   I sincerely hope the next 10 years will NOT be like the last 10 years?!    Like you and ALLEN4 said, you'll never know.... but I will make some more ...more
