Cadbury Schweppes plc Issues Over $600,000 in New Orders to Versatile Mobile Systems 00:02 GMT-04:00 Wednesday, April 18, 2001 Beverage and Confectionery Giant Broadens its Global Best Practices Initiative Versatile Mobile Systems (Canada) Inc. (CDNX: VMS), a leading mobile commerce solutions provider, today announced that Cadbury Schweppes plc has agreed to extend its use of Versatile's "Sales Supervisor" software application to Cadbury Dulciora, its Spanish operations. This will enable Cadbury Dulciora to provide their sales representatives with an automated method of managing their tasks, which increases the amount of time they have available to make visits to clients and customers. Cadbury Schweppes plc is a major global company in beverages and confectionery which manufactures, markets and distributes its branded products in over 200 countries around the world. The Sales Supervisor application improves service and productivity levels, increases sales and controls key individual and business measurements. Sales Supervisor's core features include modules for: * account management (contact details, pricing policies) * journey and visit planning (call frequency, plan by priority, size, location) * order taking (discounts, promotions) * product management (promotions, seasonal products) * market analysis (competitor analysis, product positioning) * merchandising (display layout, SKU positioning) * delivery (delivery schedules, sales tracking) * service (customer signatures, contact schedule) * promotion management (promotion campaign targets, by product and region) * reporting (report design and distribution) Although Sales Supervisor will run effectively on any Windows(R) PC, it has been optimized to take advantage of the features of the pen tablets manufactured by Fujitsu PC Corporation, the undisputed leader in the Windows-compatible pen tablet market. The plan to implement a field sales system in Cadbury Dulciora was identified in May 2000 and initial research into the most appropriate type of system was then carried out. After an extensive review of their requirements, they selected the Sales Supervisor application. Sales Supervisor has proven in the past to reduce the potential number of delayed, misplaced, lost, incorrect or otherwise unsatisfactorily processed orders. This will also minimize the amount of time and human resources required in order administration. The installation of the Sales Supervisor software for Cadbury Dulciora has commenced. In addition, Versatile will provide further consulting, support and integration services to Cadbury Ireland and Cadbury Limited. These contracts total approximately Canadian $600,000.
