Quiet Periods...

Quiet Periods...For those new to the game, this is what is called a "quiet period," a phrase that refers to a company's run-up to an IPO or a significant earnings call. As Investopedia puts it:

"The purpose of the quiet period is to preserve objectivity and avoid the appearance of a company providing insider information to select investors."

Great swings in value typically occasion strong emotions which often occasion legal action. You lock down communications prior to big announcements because communications are too much in the eyes of beholders, too easily twisted into something that could incur legal expenses. Putter knows this. When the announcement comes, it will come out of the blue, and as I said below, I think it will occasion VIS's transition from venture enterprise to a money making business--at the very least.
