I am just stating facts. Do you really think VT has performed well in the last 2 years? even relative to the of agr? It lost 1/2 its stock value, pays no dividend and profit have dropped 50% or more. And to boot, the are issuing stock like Obama prints money.

It's difficult to imagine a worse reason to hold a stock than to "break even". It's equally hard to fathom how many people say that.Since it's completely illogical, it stands to reason that the rationale must be completely emotional. What an awful characteristic to use in running a private business or investing in a public one. There isn't any complicated theory ...more

the biggest problem with these boards is that opinions if not following the herd are readily turned into personal insults.the current optimist club aka pumpers that watch a company sp cut in half and then say the company has positioned itself well for the future may be correct as the sp may have hit bottom. That's not to say the lack luster management have done a good job.

Your assuming us pumpers bought as high as you did. I have not been in VT very long but i think the long term prospects are very good. That's why i bought it not to make a few pennies. I'm looking for $3-5 upside  in the next 12 months. We shall see but as pointed out if your just holding to break even you best sell preserve your capital & put it to better use somewhere else ...more

perhaps pumpers is the wrong word. Rather pompous may be more fitting as to somehow think that in increased in VT sp is only for your benefit and the mountain goat that started this nonsense. I have never said this pos won't make as you say a 3-5 upside.I only stated the facts that its performance is dismal. You guys think only you deserve the 3-5 upside.

Badactor,Reading your post makes me think that you may not be from Western Canada or Canada at all. You talk about Wheat going North, well the price of wheat has no bearing on VT SP as they do not buy or sell wheat as all they do is handle the stuff and the CWB buys and sells it.The more you handle the more money you make. Next you talk about Western Canada numbers come in and if the shortage is ...more

We shall see. My research definately does not jive with yours. If you take a look at my posts i'm not talking one years here but 2-4.VT has a business model that does not rely solely on moving the grain so things should imporove next years & my $2-4  increase in SP should be easily reaced IMO.Also i bought in at or near the low so i do not need much of a bump to make some coin.Thanks ...more
