TSXV Companies and Woulfe

I posted a few days ago that of the 434 companies on the TSXV Composite Index of 28 September 2012, Woulfe was 86th in market cap and I commented that Woulfe would easily make the next Venture Select Index and had a legitimate shot at slipping into the Venture 30 Index.  The point being made was that the large majority of TSXV companies have taken a huge hit into the red in 2012, yet Woulfe has advanced in market cap better than most of them and nearly doubled.

Since that post I have done more digging.  Of the 85 companies that were listed ahead of Woulfe on the September 2012 Composite Index, only 11 have outperformed Woulfe in 2012 (gone up a higher percentage than Woulfe since January 1, 2012).  Another 5 performed equal with Woulfe and the remaining 69 were all out-performed by Woulfe.  One would really need to be a glass half empty kind of person to be complaining about Woulfe in 2012. FYI, the 11 that outperformed Woulfe are: AOI, SSL, GQC, PTA, RGX, EM, AYA, GSV, BTI, LVL, TVE. The 5 with an equal performance are MMT, PML, FO, MEI, TRA.  Like I say, all 69 of the others listed ahead of Woulfe on the last Composite Index were outperformed by Woulfe and most of them by a very wide margin.  In the 25 Composite Index companies listed immediately below Woulfe, only 7 were able to avoid a decrease in value and only one of those outperformed Woulfe in growth (namely APO).

Woulfe has accomplished all this in 2012 in circumstances where its real lift-off is yet to happen.  When the financing is completed, Woulfe will leave all but a handful of these TSXV companies in the dust.  That is exactly what Dundee thinks as well.  My belief is Woulfe will graduate from the TSXV to the TSX some time in 2014 (after the December 2013 production starts).  This past week Woulfe is just retracing.  It may retrace another penny or two, but that is of no concern to me.  It will bounce back even without the financing news.  Then when the financing news comes, this stock is going to fly.  Any further retracing dips this week are just buying opportunities.

Perhaps WOF will resemble MMT's chart in time.... They sure resemble the number of shares!https://www.stockhouse.com/companies/overview/v.mmt/mart-resources-inc. Here's to all the LONGS!

Some perspective on Wof SP history (not including share dilution, but still...). The recent rise seem to me to be barely the beginning of a substantially bigger rise.

Couldn't agree more, Mercury. Nice post! Thanks for all your hard work in putting this valuable info together for the board members. I hope and trust you are a buyer today, or have already done so. Seg.

Segusmundo, you know the sage advice of divercifying your portfolio--I am so convinced about Woulfe that I have not followed that advice, and I now have a ton of my money in Woulfe.  I am not recommending that approach for everyone.  A second principle is that one should never invest any money in penny stock that one cannot afford to lose--I have stuck with that principle.  More ...more

I am in the same boat. If Wof doesn't work (for whatever reason), I quit investing on my own. Not that I will have the choice, since I won't have a penny left to invest... ;-)

Seems all of a sudden the thread has become angst driven..  Expectations since summer and exentsions to DD and now the fial contract has every one on tender hooks.. The fact that December is actually a depressing month with tax loss selling and year's misses and hits probably adding to the anxiety.. I am diversified and yet I have a very big position in WOF.. If IMC and WOF do not sign ...more
