you must think I'm some retail bagholder, sorry man - you're talking to the wrong guy.
US fund managers need to generate returns on capital so they'll buy CDN oil stocks vs US oil stocks, they'll dump money on stock such as LRE just to generate a few points return. CDN will likely be in the low 70c level that's how they'll generate the return - that's 5-7% return.
as for oil and nat gas prices - don't care what oil prices will be - I trade and not an investor but I did call on nat gas collapsing along with oil. There was a delayed effect on it when it was still trading at 4.25 because of the cold snap in early-mid Nov.
And yes when I make a call and connect the dots I'll trade it. LRE was an easy short for me - because of the that huge debt on the back of a collapsing commodity, nat gas I bought DGAZ and HND and doubled money.
