Are you disappointed by the crude inventory report? I must say I am. Domestic Productioin is up despite of the rapid drop in rig counts. The bright spot is Alaska productioin drops quickly(-7.3% from last year), a typical reaction for non-shale crude productioin.  The rest of world which are non-shale should react similarily. Gasoline stock also disappoints. Demand response seems not great ...more

IMPLIED DEMAND: Gasoline supplied to end users amounted to 8.3 million barrels per day, or 160,000 barrels per day lower than the previous week. So far in 2015, gasoline supplied is 4.9% higher versus 2014, according to the EIA.

Lots of wells in final completion so new oil coming onto the market. GIve it another 3 months to peak. Gasoline consumption is inelastic. We use what we use because we need to get to work, drive the kids around etc. We aren't going to quickly ramp up demand because the price is low. Watch the longer term trend. More buyers may purchase bigger vehicles which will increase consumption somewhat  ...more

the reason why they're buying it is the strong US$ vs CDN$ so they're basically getting a 1/5 of a stock for free it's a play on forex not on oil or fundamentals of this company, if they loose it all big deal they lose little. all of what I said happen with this company, including the div going to zero (well I said within 60 days). another prediction - they'll need to raise cash ...more

A play on forex with shares bought in the open market, what the he!! are you talking about. While your making predictions can you tell us what oil and Nat Gas will average for 2015.

I thought you were talking about insiders.

prediction that came true - go ahead and go back to my post in oct/nov when this stock was trading near 3 and shorted it from there and warn everyone here to get out of it and buy for 2.5 more times more stock.  you must think I'm some retail bagholder, sorry man - you're talking to the wrong guy.  US fund managers need to generate returns on capital so they'll buy CDN oil ...more

There are much better ways to play forex with less risk then to invest in oil and gas companies. Even if it was a Forex play they are going to select a company they believe in.Where do you come up with this stuff? Good luck with your short, There are always two sides to every trade. My concern is your investing rational doesn't make a lot sense. It's like you read your horoscope and invest ...more

go back to my post back in oct/nov. I'm calling out everyone here that the div is zero like I said it would be and stock actually went below $1 - also I called back then. But I did warn for people to save capital and sell and to rebuy it at a lower price minimizing risk. Yes I also announced and posted my short with screenshots - no BS here pal.  Where do I come with this stuff? I' ...more

I think everyone here thought the dividend would be cut and most were hoping for it. It wasn't a big suprise. I think you were the one predicting that the stock would never hit 1.15 again too, which it did. As far as the Forex discussion goes you missed my point. I agree that US money will flow to CDN investments when the currency is favorable. My point is that it is not a pure forex play ...more

I don't need reassurance pal, I'm here to simply educate and help retail who are always behind the game. Retail act after the fact, when money is 90% gone which is what happen here, at 3 I was warning people here to get out of it as it being articifially propped up by the so called div yield - people saw that and said wow I'm getting paid to hold it.  the divi going to zero no ...more

The point is that the US money that is flowing into LRE is become they believe in the company an it's not just a random forex play. They have conviction in the stock. wrongly or rightly there is some very smart people investing in this company.
Comment by 99999gold on Feb 12, 2015 12:16pm
what's the ratio of smart people investing into vs people that got out of it? would you say the 10% are the "smart money" being still on the stock or bought into it vs 90% "dumb money" - being the one that got out of it? also I didnt say specifically LRE will get US money - I just said that they may go to LRE but probably at the bottom of that list.  you can't ...more
