LRE is not the only game in town. There may be some that feel that 47 cents today that can be redeployed in another opportunity today or tomorrow (that may disappear) is preferable to waiting 60 – 90 days for 52 cents that is not guaranteed is the best way to go.
LRE.DB is a bit different due to the fact that assuming that the Sinoenergy offer actually closes the Debenture holders will be paid to wait. (the interest accrues daily)
I have a small position in LRE.DB. Personally I think that the odds of the Sinoenergy offer successfully closing are pretty good but there is no guarantee. Until the money actually changes hands there will be a risk albeit small that something could screw things up.
If I could get 75% of face value for my LRE.DB tomorrow (not going to happen) I would be willing to forgo the accrued interest to pursue some of the other opportunities (that are not guaranteed) that I see today.
Criticizing the decisions that other people make today is basically SMALL MINDED criticism from SMALL MINDED people !! (often referred to as “The Peanut Gallery”)
Some of the posters on this board would be best served if they were more focused on their own circumstances, goals, opportunities and a bit less on what others do for their personal reasons.
