What part of this deal “Stinks to High Heaven”?   Through this entire process there has been nothing preventing a Canadian company from making an offer for Long Run but none have.. The very small number of Canadian companies that have the resources to make acquisitions are circling like Vultures and cherry picking assets at fire sale prices.   Investment Canada puts restrictions on ...more

Well, perhaps that is not the case either. As far as I know, Sino is only required to put up more or less 100 million into the escrow account 1 or 2 days after the IC approval... They most likely have the 100 million on hand which would be the entitlement of the holders (shares and debs)   They are required to pay back the lending syndicate, but 6 months following the deal. FYI; There are two Escrow agreements; The existing $20m Escrow account that if the deal closes will be part of the payment to the Security Holders. The $100m “Credit Agreement Escrow Amount” that is entirely re the Credit Facility agreement between the Lenders and the Purchasers and has nothing to do with the Security Holders.   To close the deal if we get there.
