The launch of the GOK in Nasedkino will become a qualitatively new stage in the development of the gold mining division of the Mangazeya Group of Companies. Andrey Domanchuk, First Deputy General Director of Mangazeya Zoloto, Project Manager of Nasedkino, told how the commissioning of the newest gold recovery plant is going on.
Can you tell us what is happening at the Nasedkino field? In the last issue they wrote that they were planning cold starts.
Throughout the first half of the year, we have been preparing Nasedkino for launching into commercial operation; cold starts began in April. Processes are being debugged along the entire technological chain, which consists of three-stage crushing, grinding, gravity, intensive cyanidation, sorption and desorption.
Will the GOK be fully operational in the second half of the year as planned?
We had non-critical delays at the end of last year associated with project documentation and equipment supplies; we approached the preparation of the project and the choice of equipment very carefully. Now we are working on schedule.
What capacity will the new factory have, what is its role in the group's overall portfolio of fields?
Nasedkino now has a priority role. We successfully closed 2019 and achieved our goals. In the coming years, we plan to increase gold production to 4 tons per year for the entire group, but this will be possible only after the Nasedkino deposit reaches its design capacity.
At present, mining operations are underway on the Zhelanny and Gora Five areas, and in the future, the development of the Pridolinnoye and Pravoberezhny areas will begin. In the future, we will process 1 million tons of ore and extract up to 3 tons of gold, which is about 83 thousand tons of processed ore per month. This year we plan to get 500-600 kg of gold at Nasedkino, but there is no rush. It is much more important for us to establish a full-fledged work of the factory at this stage.
You said you chose your equipment carefully. Can you tell us about the technologies that will be used?
The factory is built on the basis of the best technologies in the gold mining industry today and on equipment from such manufacturers as CITIC, FLSmidth, Sepro. I have already mentioned the production cycle. The ZIF itself has a high level
automation both at the lower level and at the upper level. This allows us to manage equipment and the entire production process and control both.
Is this a smart factory model? How will it work?
For the full automation of the factory, we have introduced modern software controllers and measuring instruments based on Siemens equipment, data from these devices are transmitted to the software complex developed for Nasedkino. Thus, all control of the factory will be carried out from one dispatching console. At the end of August, we will be debugging the control system in automatic mode.
This approach will make it possible to consistently maintain high equipment productivity, track the efficiency of ore processing, and make the processes modern, controlled and transparent. As a result, the entire factory can be controlled literally from a smartphone.
Please tell us about the safety systems at the enterprise, starting with the quarry transport: are there any new anti-collision systems, etc.?
We are planning to introduce an automated Wenco system for mining transport, but this will be implemented after the full launch of the mine. In general, great attention has been paid to safety: the factory was built in accordance with all standards and GOSTs that exist in the Russian Federation. The equipment we have purchased maintains very high safety standards. The factory's automated control system will also monitor safety. The health and safety system is a priority for the company.
How is the work with personnel going? Are there enough qualified specialists to work with such modern systems?
At the moment, the staff of the GOK is 90% staffed, already recruited employees are undergoing training. Since the equipment of the factory is of foreign production, absolutely all personnel are carefully preparing to interact with it. Foreign suppliers of equipment have representative offices in Russia, which train our employees at the site. The qualifications of the GOK employees will be very high; this is another deliberate investment by Mangazeya.
How long is the field development project designed for?
The project for the development of the Nasedkino deposit is designed for 10 years. In total, 13.6 billion rubles will be invested in it, about 85% of this amount has already been spent. Including part of investments in the development of Nasedkino - own funds of the gold mining division of the Mangazeya Group of Companies, because we have been successfully working for other
Transbaikal deposits - Savkino and Kochkovsky. I am sure that Nasedkino will become a qualitatively new stage in the development of the group's gold mining division.
