Explanation

For those looking for a detailed explanation I would refer you to the older posts. If your wondering why ICC is not suddenly trading at $1.95 it’s because it’s a share swap based on a 20day MVA that has not been established. If you think ACB is going up then sell ICC and buy ACB now if you think ACB will go down wait for the swap or lastly just sell and go to Vegas with proceeds

Sid, it seems ever since ACB was bought out, this board is full of newbies and "fake news", We answered all these questions many many many many times, yet every single day someone new is wondering how it works or is reffering to the example 0.2448 ratio that was detailed in original NR about sale. GUYS as Sid said, refer to the older posts...go back to September posts when deal was made ...more

I agree with most of this, except that you didn't mention it will be over the stock price the day of the deal going through. A company is not allowed to buy out another company and offer less than it's current value, which would put shareholders at a loss. They usually offer money, stock or a combination that would increase the shareholders value.

Currently the 20 day VWA is at $12.06 If the Arrangement becomes effective, each ICC Shareholder will receive $1.95 per ICC Share, payable in common shares of Aurora (the Aurora Shares) valued at the volume-weighted average trading price of Aurora Shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange (the TSX) during the twenty trading day period ending on the second to last trading day on the TSX immediately ...more
